Sprenger Extra Long Link – snatch collar-chain for dogs weighing up to 85 kg. Recommended for both daily walking and exhibitions. Effective in training puppies and adult dogs that are pulled for a walk.
The Sprenger Collar is made entirely of stainless steel. It is a chain of long flat links with 2 round rings at the ends. All parts are welded, not detachable.
The chain works like a training tug collar when the leash is attached to a free ring: when the leash is pulled, the collar begins to tighten, letting the dog know about undesirable behavior. If you attach the leash to the fixed ring, the collar will work like a regular walking collar.
Long chain link – This is a universal solution for dogs with any type of coat. Due to the fact that such a chain does not 'wipe' The Sprenger Extra Long Link collar is especially recommended for dogs with long and fine hair.
IMPORTANT! Stainless steel contains nickel, so stainless steel gear is not suitable for dogs that are allergic to nickel. For such pets, ammunition from the hypoallergenic Kurogan alloy is recommended, where there is no nickel in the composition.

When choosing the length of the collar, the girth of your pet's neck + 5-6 cm for fit is taken into account. Do not forget that the collar is put on over the dog's head, so double-check the chosen length by measuring the girth of the dog's head at the widest point (above the ears and under the muzzle).

IMPORTANT! Sprenger collars 51604_02 are labeled with overall length including rings. The assembled collar will be SHORT by approximately 3-4 cm. In addition, the manufacturer, for reasons related to production technology, has a system of length tolerances for chains with a long link within ± 1-2 cm (usually this value is towards length reduction). Therefore, the actual length of the collar in the assembly will be approximately 5-6 cm less than the declared one.
For example, with the declared length of the collar from the manufacturer at 63 cm: subtract 2 cm for tolerance and 4 cm for assembly, we get 57 cm. This will be the actual length of the collar that you will put on the dog.
CLEANING
The collar is cleaned with special metal polishing pastes. Do not use abrasive products and hard brushes.
ASSEMBLY
No tools are needed to turn the chain into a closed collar.
1. Take the chain by the round rings and hold it upright. Turn the lower round ring to a horizontal position.
2. Pass the first links of the chain into the lower round ring.
3. Let all the chain links go through the round ring. The collar for your dog is ready!
4. To disassemble the collar for cleaning, pull the chain up on the free round ring.
