Davis No Chew Dog Anti-Bite is water-based, so it doesn't 'smoke' the mouth of the animal, if there is an attempt to gnaw the treated object or surface. However, the spray gives the surfaces a pronounced bitter taste, which the spray acquired due to naringin. This ingredient is derived from grapefruit peel, so it is completely natural, safe, but extremely unpleasant to the taste and therefore ideal as an educational tool.
The product does not form stains on surfaces after application and drying.
